Striker
Green hair
Hair spiked up
Green biker jacket
Flashing green studs
Green football boots
Green face
Green goggles
Flashing green sock
He is the star striker
Norwich city
Yellow and green.
Ryan Page

The weirdest poem in the world
Cells are shells
Cat’s eyes, pork pies
And sticky chewing gum
Zombies ears
And zombies tears
Ears can get pierced
Hair can stick in a prickly pear.

Cells, shells
Cats eyes, pork pies
And sticky chewing gum
Zombies ears
And zombies tears
Pierced ears
Hair and prickly pear.
Chelsea Gowers

Stomata
Green frogs eyes
Big as cats,
Holy like the bible.
Green oozing with mould,
Squeeze like a sponge.

Scaley like a snake,
As big as a crocodile,
Patchy like a quilt,
Mean as a fox.

It smells of bog weed,
Something the cat brought in.
A bit of something on my shoe,
An old smelly rag.

Slimy like snakes
Covered in weed,
Sticky like a lolly,
Not from this planet,
Felt like alien skin.
Kayleigh Brightwell

Mystery stomatal
Like eyes in river of green weeds,
Like a mystery monster, never seen.
Glaring, staring, peeping, keeping,
Smothered by a blanket of leaves.

Like cabbage or maybe even peas,
Like a bug hiding in the trees,
Showing, growing, sleeping, weeping,
A mystery waiting in the green.

Night arrival of the seatrout
The silence of the calm sea
As dead as a still tree
Sitting on the boat fishing with my dad
Loving this chance we’ve had
1, 2, 3
Silent no more is the sea.

Breaking the peace
Rippling the sea
The seatrout awakened
The water that was stationed
Fighting the power
In the dark sea hour.

“get the net” said my dad
“It’s gonna be a biggin”
A struggle with the net
The light is our best bet
Finally the fish is on the boat
Not in the sea afloat
A well done job
Take the hook from the trouts gob.

Spider Haiku
Walking through the wood,
The silver web glistening,
Sparkling with sunlight.

I am a spider,
Sitting on my pretty web,
Waiting for my tea.

Hello my dinner,
My juicy, lovely dinner,
Come to me my love.

Tinsel at Christmas,
Hanging on your pine tree,
Shining in your eyes.

Mini
Mini was a microbe,
A microbe that is small
She wiggled and she squiggled
Along my bathroom wall.

She squiggled on the pipe work
And wiggled on the tile
And squiggles over wallpaper
For what it seemed like miles.

Soon she met her furry friend
Fred! That was his name
He was a yellow fungus
Who quivered as she came.
She squiggled past Freddy
As she waved hello
On and on she wiggled
Sorry to have to go.

Mummy found the scrubby brush
And mummy found the bleach
She put water in the bucket
Then mini gave a screech.

Mummy scrubbed the wall
And everything that crawled
Slowly faded away
And died while mini bawled.

So mini was a microbe.
A microbe that is small
I’m sorry she got killed
While on my bathroom wall.

Green City
Green city, worms live there,
All doing their green hair,
Heads popping up for feed,
When they are hungry they feed on weed.

Visit the lighthouse with the bright light,
Keeps it on all day all night,
Under the ground
Where the worms sleep sound.

Maggots sleep in the witch’s hat,
When the wind blows the hat turns flat,
Maggots keep near their house,
So they don’t get eaten by the green mouse.

The Helter-Skelter
The blue slide going round
And the lights in the centre
Make your eyes go blurry.

The people find it fun
Even the O.A.P.s
Everybody rides the helter-skelter.

It’s so much fun
To go around and around
Tobe scared out of your life.
My nan says she feels young
When she is riding the helter-skelter.

Aquatic insect larvae
He lives in my tap
Who knows how big or small he is
He talks to himself ‘kilopoi killopuy’
Is he trying to find his way out
Is he after, me
I didn’t mean to throw him down the plug?
I suppose he just shew me bad luck
O streuth whats that!!!
I can see he long dandi lanky legs
Pulling his way up to the plug
Do I turn the water on full hipoy
Or do I let him come up
Now his maongiosorous head
Is poking up from the plug
Now his juppoi kinkty body
Is rising finding its wazsy way
Di I squinkle its juti head?
Some how its humpled ways
Have got onto my mums hungry nose
Its bitlthing her nose off
O no mums goin to
DIPPLUING
Gusontight mum!
