SAW - Examples of work from schools

Art and science in the classroom

Working with schoolchildren is inspirational. They are open to both the simplicity and the complexity of ideas in a more fluid way than adults. Artists involved in SAW projects have found the experience extremely rewarding.

“SAW days are an ongoing learning experience for me and I feel that I take away a lot at the end of each day.”
Sarah Jarrett

In each of our SAW projects, striking photographs of science in action have been used as a starting point for the children to produce their own striking visual art.

We’re interested in hearing from writers, scientists, artists and writing tutors who would like to be involved. Please email us your CV if you would like to take part.
